Cannabidiol
What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?
Cannabidiol, known as CBD or hemp oil in Australia, is a concentrated extract from a particular type of hemp plant often referred to as Cannabis Sativa L, which has many known potential health-related benefits and properties.
Cannabidiol is a phyto-cannabinoid discovered in 1940. According to Wikipedia, it is some of the 113-114 identified cannabinoids in cannabis plants and accounts for up to 40% of the plant's extract. As of 2019, there has been an increase in clinical research on CBD to treat anxiety, cognition, movement disorders, anti-acne, cancer treatment, heart disease, neuroprotective and pain related conditions.
